Walter Taylor lived in Graceville and worked as an engineer and contractor with offices and a builders yard on the corner of Honour Ave and Rakeevan Rd Graceville. He was a significant builder of bridges and commercial buildings. He is best known as the builder of the Walter Taylor Bridge and the Graceville Uniting Church.
